Rods being offered for sale by independent owners may be advertised as owners think fit, but most owners who wish to sell, advertise their rods on this page.

Rods are offered for sale in perpetuity.  Owners must pay an annual charge for each rod to pay for the annual costs of the management of the beat.  This is currently about £80/rod/year.

Owners have the right to fish their week or let or give their days to others as they wish, subject only to the requirement that the owner inform the fishery manager at least 24 hours in advance who will fish in their place so that the beat management knows with certainty who is entitled to fish.

All rod sales must be registered officially by the Fishery Factor, Gordon Kerr MRICS, FAAV, Stanley Wright, The Estate Office, Ulzieside, Sanquhar, DG4 6LA; Tel: 01659 58697; Email: gordon@stanleywright.co.uk. There is a charge of £60 for registration.  Only when this registration is completed does the rod become the property of the new owner.
