How to find us
Newbie beat is located close to the town of Annan on the Solway Firth. It is 7 miles from the Scottish border and the M74, and just off the A75 road to Dumfries.
Go through Annan Town heading west. After crossing Annan Bridge, take the first turning right, signposted Cemetery and Brydekirk. About a quarter of a mile up this road, immediately after a cream-coloured cottage on the left-hand side, you will find a track on the right-hand side with a notice on a beech tree announcing the entrance to the beat.
Follow this track down to the river until at the end you will find the carpark and hut.
Please park neatly on the right hand side.
